New ways of working
Due to a limit on the number of people allowed on Campus to maintain a safe working environment, the Wellcome Genome Campus Conference Centre’s facilities are currently closed. The situation is being monitored closely and our plans will be updated in line with Campus and government guidelines.
We are proud to be located on a Campus where critical science, such as essential contributions to the UK-wide effort to research and understand COVID-19, takes place. Understandably, the Campus is prioritising access for the scientists and support staff whose work requires them to be on site. All other staff will work from home until it is safe to return, and this includes the Conference Centre team.
Whilst our physical location may be closed for now, the team is still engaged and passionate about helping you achieve your meeting and conferencing plans. We are working closely with our embedded audiovisual supplier to offer clients, both existing and new, exciting new packages allowing you to run successful events online.
We are committed to doing everything we can to help organisations adapt to this – hopefully temporary – way of working. Our goal is to ensure that you can continue to organise meetings and conferences that stimulate and encourage learning, networking and collaboration, in spite of the current challenges we all face.
We are currently focusing our efforts on facilitating the organisation of online events, and are taking bookings for this service, as well as continuing to take bookings for next year. We will be able to build enough flexibility into these events to flex between virtual, hybrid or fully-physical set ups, depending on the social distancing requirements at the time. Please read on to see how we can help you organise and run successful online events.
If there is anything else we can help you with do not hesitate to get in touch.
