An exhibition space designed to encourage discussion on the social context and ethics of genetics
Located in the heart of the Conference Centre exhibition space, the Campus Cultural Zone is open to all Campus visitors. We encourage all conference delegates to delve into the permanent displays and temporary exhibitions.
Objects, illustrations and film in the permanent displays bring to life the story of the Human Genome Project, a project that revolutionised biomedical science and our ability to explore what makes us and all life. You can also find out about trees of life which, from medieval illustrations to Darwin sketches and beyond, have helped us understand how life is connected.
Current temporary exhibition: Stutterer by Thomson and Craighead (7 October – 22 January)
The space is curated by Wellcome Genome Campus Public Engagement.
